The latest term, 'The Great Fat Indian Wedding', is a fad among people and seems to have caught the attention of not just those residing in the metros but also those the rural based. Attention is given to every minute detail from venue, decoration, photography, food and even the music, no stone is left unturned in making the wedding a grand event.
Venue: Marriage halls and ancestral home as a wedding venue is now a rarity. Most people are vouching on palaces and beaches to mark the novice in the wedlock. This includes decorations, where people are looking beyond the ordinary to make the ambiance as lively as possible; like the procession of the bride and groom on elephants, horses or even camels.
Food: Indian weddings are incomplete without good food. The guests are served with sumptuous meal, in order to fulfill their palate through the means of exhibiting exuberant food stalls that range from Indian, Chinese and Continental to name a few.
Guests: Well, it could be surprising to know that guests are an indeed an integral part of the ceremony. However, here the 'guests' are referred to celebrities who become integral part of the Great Indian Wedding and also entertain the high profile guests with some songs and dance.
Capturing the wedding: Well, this could be the most important aspect of the wedding. Photographs and videos play a major after-math role in showcasing the wedding on the small screen. Many of them are now going a step forward in getting their marriage shot in a documentary style. Photographs are not left behind; the 3-D photography has caught the fancy of people, who are now vouching on 3-D photography to capture their big day.
